Train The Trainer Today is: May 19, 2012

Trainer Safety Instructor Program

OSHA regulation 29 CFR 1910.178 holds EMPLOYERS responsible for ensuring that all of their lift truck operators, regardless of experience, be trained, evaluated and certified in lift truck use and operation. Those found in violation of this regulation can face fines of up to $7,000 per untrained operator.

Our Train-the-Trainer Program enables companies to provide their supervisors with the training needed to train, evaluate and issue certificates to all the lift truck operators in your company.

OSHA's new powered industrial lift truck regulation states: "All operator training and evaluation shall be conducted by persons who have the knowledge, training, and experience to train powered industrial truck operators and evaluate their competence." If your supervisor meets these requirements, then having your own safety instructor may be a good choice for you.

Our Train the Trainer program conducted at your facility covers:

  • Causes of Accidents
  • OSHA Regulations & Requirements
  • Type of Trucks
  • Stability Factors
  • Battery Charging & Maintenance
  • Propane Safety
  • Pre-Shift Inspections
  • Safe Operating Procedures
  • Walk through of your area to point out conditions specific to where your lift is used to keep employees and lift truck operators safe

We also make available for purchase the same OSHA approved Forklift Operator Safety Program we use for operator safety training. This program makes it easy for you to train your operators and includes:

Trainer's Guide - Gives answers to video challenges and provides background information and training tips to make the most of each training session.

Employee Handbooks - Provides a portable reference to be used during and after training. Reviews key points and includes a quiz to check employees’ understanding of the material.

Awareness Poster - Colorful posters highlight the topic and provide visible reminders long after training is complete.

Wallet Card Sheet – Verify that training is complete.

Trainer's Log - Helps trainers record essential details.

Forklift Operator Evaluation Form - A practical way to assess your forklift operators' skill level.

Forklift Operator Daily Checklist - Easy-to-use form for operators to document any parts in need of repair.

Certificate of Training - Classroom - Recognize operators' successful completion of classroom training.

Certificate of Training - Operational - Recognize operators' successful completion of hands-on training.
